About Maudsley Private Care
The Maudsley name is internationally renowned for mental health innovation, thought leadership and outstanding clinical care. With history dating back to the foundation of Bethlem Royal Hospital in 1247, our organisation is the oldest psychiatric institution in the world.
Today, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is a leading NHS trust that provides the largest portfolio of specialist mental health services in the UK. The Trust is a founding member of King’s Health Partners, one of only six Academic Health Science Centres in the UK leading the translation of cutting edge research directly into innovative clinical practice. Many internationally recognised ‘gold standards’ of mental healthcare were developed at the Maudsley.

We provide private outpatient assessment and treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression and specialist areas such as neuropsychiatry and eating disorders. To find out more about the conditions we treat and our experts, please visit Find a Clinician.
We offer services for patients either wishing to pay for their own private care, or coming through our insurance partner: GeoBlue, WPA and Allianz. We are in the process of registering with other medical insurance such as BUPA and AXA, this may be finalised within the coming months.
We also welcome self-funded overseas patients that would like to access our services virtually or in the UK.
Any profits generated from Maudsley Private Care are reinvested back into South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust to support NHS services and infrastructure.
Our sites
We provide outpatient services virtually via Teams, or face-tof-face at our consulting rooms in Central and South London.
South London - 10 Windsor Walk, SE5 8BB
Our South London site is located at 10 Windsor Walk, just a few minutes’ walk from Denmark Hill station in Zone 2.
Central London - 11- 12 Wimpole Street, WIG 9ST
Our Central London site is located on 11-12 Wimpole Street. The nearest tube stations are Oxford Circus station (on the Central, Bakerloo, and Victoria lines) and Bond Street station (on the Central and Jubilee lines). Both are approximately 10 minutes walk away.
